The Special Hearts Farm “Special Animals for Special Hearts,” is a Non Profit 501(c) 3 organization and will serve individuals with disabilities and unique abilities by providing adult day training, supported employment, and possible entrepreneur business opportunities related to farming and gardening experiences.
The Special Hearts Farm will be located in Winter Garden, Florida on the campus of the former Maxey Elementary School. A collaboration between Orange County Public Schools and the Special Hearts Farm (501c3), will create and feature a “true transition opportunity” for students with disabilities to train and continue performing meaningful jobs once they age out of school. This transition opportunity will be the first of its kind in the state of Florida!
The Special Hearts Farm will provide business opportunities for individuals with disabilities and unique abilities by producing and selling products such as goat milk soap, rustic signs, and hosting farm events and goat yoga. Our goal for the Special Hearts Farm is to promote health, happiness, and opportunity for individuals with disabilities and unique abilities within the West Orange Community.
